We have a heart for missions!
Our church has a strong heritage of involvement in missions work. From roofing to doll-making, from disaster relief to helping a needy neighbor, from building Habitat houses to building wheelchair ramps, from sewing dresses to serving in medical clinics, from cooking meals to carrying out flower arrangements, we find ways to share God’s love in Christ.
“Christ has no body now but yours;
no hands, no feet on earth but yours.
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
with compassion on this world.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”
We engage in missions through opportunities such as trips (Belize, Guatemala, Ukraine, Alaska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and numerous sites in North Carolina), Operation Inasmuch, Rise Against Hunger, Crop Walk, American Red Cross blood drives, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, dental/vision clinics, the prayer blanket ministry, and providing meals for the Christian Help Center and families in times of bereavement.
Weekly missions include our BLOOM flower delivery ministry and Wednesday night fellowship meal teams.
